Home Remedies For Heartburn - 7 Cures From Your Kitchen Cupboards

Knowing a few home remedies for heartburn is important if you want to relieve yourself of any burning pain. The discomfort can be great and extremely painful. Finding relief is actually not too far away. I this article, I will be sharing seven acid reflux cures found in your own kitchen cupboards.

Home Remedies for Heartburn:

1) Eat some almonds. You should try to chew 6 to 8 almonds whenever you feel and burning chest pain or discomfort. Eating almonds can relieve the burning pain and any other symptoms you might be feeling.

2) Baking soda. Drink a half glass of water with half a teaspoon of baking soda. This mixture will neutralize any stomach acid. If you can't have any salt, don't use this remedy. Also, if you have nausea, stomach aches, gas, cramps or an extended stomach due to overeating, don't use this remedy.

3) Cream of tartar. This will neutralize the acid that might have backed up into your esophagus. Take only one teaspoon of the mixture as you need. You basically mix half a teaspoon of the cream with half teaspoon of baking soda in one glass of water.

4) Brown Rice. Brown Rice will help relieve your discomfort. Since Rice is a plain, bland food, it won't relax the sphincter muscle or increase the level of acidity.

5) Soda crackers. Eat the unsalted brand. These crackers are easy to digest and they will absorb stomach acid. They basically work the same way as baking soda and cream of tartar do. They neutralize the acid.

6) Vinegar. Take one tablespoon apple cider vinegar mixed with one tablespoon of honey in one cup of warm water and drink it when you are experiencing acid reflux.

7) Drink water. You should also try to drink water between your meals and not with your meals. Drinking water with your meals will cause more contents inside your stomach and possibly backup into your esophagus.

In this article, I shared with you seven home remedies for heartburn that you might already have inside your kitchen cupboards.

Isaac's Birthday Kitchen

Our dear friends Debbie and Dave Richmond's son Isaac turned 4 this weekend and he's a complete kitchen and cooking fanatic. He is fascinated with Debbie's Kitchen Aid mixer and loves to help her back. He's also crazy about ceiling fans, so with some valuable input from Debbie I set out to create a cake to capture all of these things in one scene. I'm pretty happy with the results...I hope you enjoy. The "floor", counters, and island are all made from cake while the fridge, oven, and upper cabinets are all made from rice krispy treats. The "glass" in the doors, and the water dripped from the faucet are hand poured sugar glass.
