Variations on a accustomed theme...

So last week I made the Graduation/bookworm cake for an open house. Someone saw the cake and wanted one for her sons open house today. She wanted basically the same cake with a few variations that spoke to her sons individuality. Her son went to the same school as the last student so the colors were pretty much the same. Her sons name is LaVario, but everyone calls him Vario. He's number 25 on the basketball team. His mother says he has a saying that "hes THAT guy, the one and only" and he excelled in his German and Mathematics classes, so I tried to illustrate all of that here. The Books and letters for Vario are made of red velvet cake. The Basketball is made of rice crispy treats covered with fondant. The rest of the letters and the worm are all made of fondant.
